November 6, 2003 at 7:30 pm #88693BrianMemberI had the anti-banner patch for ICQ Pro Build 3916 installed some times now. It works great. I recommend it to anyone else who do not want to put up with the banners. 🙂
November 6, 2003 at 9:35 pm #88683Jeff HesterKeymasterHi! Since I installed the patch the users i chatted with see their messages twice. like:
“Other User: Hi
mmadach: (Autoresponse by mmadach: Hi)
Other User: Hey you autoresponse
mmadach: (Autoresponse by mmadach: Hey you autoresponse)”
Anybody an idea? Or is there a patch that undo the changes of this patch?
Please Help

we have anti-banner patch for ICQ lite build 1300 (made by Protectx):
http://www.allicq.com/download/patch/lite.b1300crk.zip
it must work for icq lite build 1301 alsommadach
our patch can not be the reason of it
no, we have no any patch wich will undo this patch, because the main rule before patching smth is: create a backup before patching smth2 all others
i advice you to create a backup of icq.exe and ICQProLib.dll before patching icq pro 3916 using this patchNovember 7, 2003 at 9:18 am #88682Jeff HesterKeymasterHi! k, if you say the patch isnt the reason… Does anybody know how to stop the autoresponses? Max
November 12, 2003 at 6:18 pm #88704CondormanMemberHi,
I installed the anti-banner patch and it works fine.
But I installed it thinking, that if the top banner is gone, I can compress the whole ICQ to be smaller than it was with that ad.Has anyone got a solution for this?
I don’t want my ICQ to be that fat, it uses up too much space that way!greetings

Have you tried ICQ Lite? ICQ Lite is small, only 1.82-MB comparing to 4.39-MB with ICQ Pro 2003b.
November 12, 2003 at 8:36 pm #88705MrDEGMemberThank you very much, great patch! 🙂
November 12, 2003 at 10:43 pm #88703CondormanMemberYes I know that there is ICQ Lite but I want to have a history
November 13, 2003 at 1:48 am #88691BrianMemberCondorman- are you saying you want to have dialogues (messages) saved in your ICQ history?
If so, this can be done with ICQ Lite in just seconds – take a look at the snapshot I just took: http://www.geocities.com/tonybkt/icqlitehistory.txt .
November 13, 2003 at 11:57 pm #88702CondormanMemberHi,
thanks for your good tipps, I managed to activate the message history in ICQ Lite now.
But ICQ Lite is the same size as ICQ Pro, so both are very huge right now
November 17, 2003 at 5:46 pm #88706SunnYiiMembercan anyone send me the ICQ2003b anti-banner patch to my email coz the site seems to be dead…
