… on away, when you’re away, but online. Some people seem to gave their sns on all the time.
August 28, 2003 at 1:52 am #56352TigerbladeParticipantwhen i’m at school, as long as i’m awake, i’m online. i started to keep my computer (and thus my IM) on all night, 24/7, but that started to cause my computer some problems… so i dont plan on doing that again.
otherwise i’m online almost all the time anyway, it might as well be 24/7
August 28, 2003 at 1:57 am #56346FaizanMemberI’m signed in MSN as long as I’m on my computer, but when I’m really busy or really pissed off, I exit all my messengers. And specially when there are more than 15 people online, I sign out or appear offline.

(its smallness?idono)August 28, 2003 at 3:40 am #56349DavidParticipantIf My computer is on, I’m on AIM/MSN. They start with Windows and they stay on all night.
Although unfortunately I’m thought of as “Free Tech support” and am REALLY getting tired of the constant flood of questions.
Oh well….that’s what I get for being a geek I guess.

yeah i hear you on that one… i get the “my computer is broken, fix it!” and the “what’s wrong with my computer?” all the time…. most of the time, the answer is “nothing’s wrong with your computer, its the USER that has the problem…
i should start charging for my services… “well sure i could fix it, but what’s it worth to you?”http://www.thinkgeek.com/cubegoodies/stickers/3803/ that about covers it i think
August 28, 2003 at 5:37 pm #56357BriMemberDon’t you just hate the computer illiteracy of some people..
August 28, 2003 at 10:14 pm #56347BrianMemberI used to have my Instant Messaging clients on all the times, but I have stopped doing this after having to catch up to every messages left for me to answer, and I am not always on-line.

Don’t you just hate the computer illiteracy of some people..Yes, but some people I have on my contact list are deaf/hearing impaired, they couldn’t help if they couldn’t understand nor read real well. Some of them were schooled at the deaf schools where the education usually are not above third-grade level, even in high school.
August 30, 2003 at 9:53 am #56354RabidKittenParticipantI think that if I kept my MSN and AIM up all the time, I’d go nuts over all the complaints and whining I got. I get a lot of whining from a few MSN people because of some such a thing on a community I help run and my sister constantly whines to me on AIM. So if I didn’t close them down, I’d end up going on a homocidal rampage, I think.
August 30, 2003 at 11:20 am #56356AtlasParticipantyes, i leave my AIM messenger open as much as i can keep online ( god i hate dial up *prays for cable*) anywho, i keep it up as much as i can till i cant stand the whinning. like, “oh can you hack this girl she stole my buddylist, i mean i gave it to her and she wont give me hers” i liked that one the best or “can you hack runescape cause this guys stole my hat (i think its was a hat) and experiance level” i mean, where do these ppl come from? and the funniest thing about it, I have over 40 ppl in my own lil column i like to call “idiots & morons” on my AIM buddylist i tell ya i keep racking them up. i feel for you all who get these silly and time consuming IMS, really i do.
August 31, 2003 at 3:59 am #56358angels furyParticipantlol…why not block them? o wait…that would be common sense? do you have a section for “Whiney Boy Who Needs a Life” you could go right there…. ^_^ ….i mean seriously i dont want to dis you or anything but just block them! ::cough cough:: common sense ::cough:: unless you like the stupidity of others…to boost your ego…maybe that makes you smarter..or sadder…o well….BTW the way to rabid kitten…fat free yogurt is very good…for shallow fat people who live in the expectation of others as to whats fat or thin for a woman.

Reality chech dude…. dont be so ignorant here… we may have hearing impaired members and on their behalf I accept you apology for a stupid remark.
Possibly sight impaired members may have a slight disadvantage reading this forum but be assured their level of education is without a doubt 100% higher than yours.October 10, 2003 at 2:46 am #56359WolfriderMemberI never used to but since I have a perment connection (a kick ass bb) I’ve been keeping it on as long as I’m around. If I’m away at class or whatever I drop it into Away and if I’m pissed I just turn on invisible.
December 4, 2003 at 5:55 am #56363lilmonkeyguyMemberlol! most of u guys have ur messengers on alot but complain bout not wanting it on lol but me on the other hand, i have it on mebbe 8 or 9 hours a day, which is the time between end of sku and bed, but i wish i could keep it on more on the weekends lol but i have dialup and my parents SUCK lol
December 4, 2003 at 7:31 pm #56360Dr KimbleParticipantI am online 24/7 practically, well more like 19/7 and usually on messenger that long too. But lately I have not been on messanger cause my buddies don’t live on their computers like I do, so I find no reason to stay on.
