Welcome to BBB. Log files have a .log extension, so the best way to locate it is to use
Explorer to find all the log files. Then look for the file/s in the results. To do this:
– Open Explorer
– On Main Menu, go to Tools/Find/Files or Folders
– Page tab Name and Location should be on top
– In “Named” type *.log (this will search for all log files)
– In “Look In” select “My Computer” or similar
– Ensure “Include SubFolders” is checked
– Click on “Find Now”All log files will list. Search for the file/s you want.

Try limiting the search to just C:Program FilesMicrosoft Office.
February 26, 2007 at 8:36 am #158628PhilipModeratorWell I did some searching and found that normally when Excel has encountered an error, it would pop up a message like this:
Problems came up in the following areas during load:
Number Format
A log file has been created listing the load errors. This file has been saved to the following location: C:windowstempHtmlErr.log.So as you can see, the log file is located in C:windowstemp. Hope this helps. Or if your Excel error message doesn’t state the location, please post back and quote it. Thanks.
