I have to get my email back. It was locked cause I did not reply to an email. Its been locked for almost 2 years now. I have been trying to guess my secret answer for 2 years now. I just dont remember it. I also dont remember my alt address. I have been emailing yahoo security for almost 2 years now. They wont give me clues this sucks! I really need my account back.
The only clue they gave me was this.
My secret question is. (Hello?)
I created my account in 12/12/1998
Back then I could not type my answer. I had to pick my answer. Now a days you can actually type in your secret question.
Does anyone here have a list of secret answers back in 1998? Im going to compile a list and email them that. Im new here and Im hoping some one will help me.
August 23, 2008 at 3:10 am #170997imported_Ven0mMemberWell, if you don’t know what the secret question’s answer is, there really isn’t much you can do about it.
August 23, 2008 at 2:31 pm #171002nerdvaderMemberI know the question. Its
Hello?
I just dont know what the answer is. I really need this account open. The only clue they gave me is that back then in 1998. I had to chose an answer provided by yahoo. SOme one must have or remember the list of answers back then.

August 24, 2008 at 1:54 am #170998imported_Ven0mMemberWell, if you don’t know the answer to the question, then there’s nothing you can really do about it… sorry. ๐
August 24, 2008 at 4:39 pm #171003nerdvaderMemberWhat about hire hackers. org?
Im willing to do anything to get my account back. I need it bad!
All I want is a screen shot of my account so I can see what my alt email and secret answer is.
I cant beleive out of all the posters here no one can help me out.
This sucks ๐ก
August 24, 2008 at 4:46 pm #170999imported_Ven0mMemberHackers don’t exactly exist like that. And if they did, they’d probably just take your money and not do anything.
Unfortunately, there really isn’t much you can do about it. Without the secret question’s answer, you’re pretty much screwed.
It’s not that nobody can’t help you, it’s that without the answer to the secret question, you’re sunk in the water. There’s no way to recover it either, and if the account has existed since 1998, chances are it’s lost to the sands of time…
Just being honest and straight with you.
Oh, and any talk about “hacking” isn’t allowed here on this site, since the term and actions are malicious in nature (usually). ๐
August 24, 2008 at 4:55 pm #171004nerdvaderMemberIve heard of people that have actually gotten their lost accounts by doing this. And I talked to the yahoo security via email. They stated that my account and all the emails should still be in there. ITs only been locked for 2 years. ANd this sucks cause it got locked only because I did not reply to an email.
Im still going to try the hire hackers or hacking services.
Im sure some one out there has an account as old as mine and they might even have the same question and answer as I do.
Im asking the folks here if they created an account in 1998 thourgh 2000. To let me know if their secret question is the same as mine.
Hello?
MaybeWe can compare or they can help me figure out what the possible answers were back then.
Edited
Ok I wont talk about hacking anymore. Sorry
Just looking for help ๐
August 24, 2008 at 5:10 pm #171000imported_Ven0mMemberYeah, sorry, can’t talk about hacking here. Nobody in chat will actually take money and do as you ask. They’ll rip your money and not do a thing for you… or they’ll just ignore your pleas altogether.
Besides, the intent to ‘hack’ Yahoo accounts is technically illegal, and is against the Yahoo! TOS, which could result in the account being deleted altogether… not that it stops some people…

That is so not true. I’ve gotten into accounts that I haven’t logged into in months and the e-mail address has to be reactivated and once that is done there is no e-mails in it. So if you say it’s been 2 years – i’m extremely sure you’ll find an empty inbox.
And someone please correct me if I’m wrong on that but that’s what I know from experience.
Also if what I say stands what other reasons do you have for getting this account back? It’s been 2 years of no use and unless it’s one of those rare names I don’t see any reason for you to fight to get it so much. The fact that you are so curious to know the alternate e-mail tells me that you have plenty of other Yahoo! accounts. But I guess to each their own.
August 24, 2008 at 10:44 pm #171005nerdvaderMemberWell thanks for raining on my parade!
Yes I only have a hotmail account cause i lost my yahoo acount. ANd I made another yahoo acount. Simply to try and get my yahoo acount.
ANd I can still see my profile in tact. I have everything the way I left it.
Check out my profile.
tommy4_u
search it and youll see when it was created and my info still in tact. And I dont check my hot mail for months and I still have my emails there.
So If anyone can help me guess my answer
Oh and if my emails or anyone’s emails are deleted then why would yahoo be so concerned about keeping someone’s privacy. They would have let me have my account 2 years ago and I would not have been here.
The question is Hello?
August 25, 2008 at 2:32 am #171001imported_Ven0mMemberYeah, Nessa’s right. I’ve had accounts too not logged into mail for 3 months (which is the cutoff period) and I’ve had to react Mail, losing all e-mails in my inbox.
I see your profile is still intact, but honestly, even if you did recover the password somehow, I don’t think any e-mails would be there.
And I don’t think you’ll find the answers you’re wanting to hear, so sorry about that. ๐
August 25, 2008 at 10:50 pm #171006nerdvaderMemberI hate this!!!
๐กWell I still need my account. My ps3 stuff still gets sent there and I cant edit my ps3 account. ALso other stuff still gets sent there.

Well for one, hotmail and yahoo e-mails are separate and different. Second, I never said it affects your profile because even I can still log into messenger with those names and my profile is intact – it’s only the e-mail portion that gets deactivated. Thirdly, Yahoo! still concerned because they can’t just give away your e-mail so quick because you could easily be pretending to be someone else and receiving their e-mails.
Let me give you an example: Say you want to read all my e-mails or from an account I don’t use anymore so you go around making up this story about how you can’t remember your answer. If you know me – you know all the basic information like date of birth, zip code, and all the other good stuff Yahoo! asks for, of course minus the secret answer. (Especially since Yahoo! has never had automated answers and “Hello?” appears to be a self-made question – so you could easily just be hoping someone gives you a logical answer.) Basically this scenerio can be you – something Yahoo! has probably seen thousands of times. (Even if you didn’t care about reading the e-mails – you can still use the e-mail for other stuff.)
Yahoo! has to watch it’s back too and it’s not their fault you can’t remember the secret answer.
Now, I’m not saying you don’t have a legitimate problem and I do hope you find what you are looking for, but I don’t expect you to find any old e-mails in it. You can of course reactivate it and start receiving those so called e-mails from game sites and possibly ex-friends. So best of luck and maybe someone can give you that list of answers you are looking for but I just had to point out my point about the e-mails…..
Not raining on any parades.
PS: PS3 has not been out for 2 years yet so I find that excuse hard to believe. It came out November of 06′ and since you haven’t logged in for two years….. You get my point. ๐
August 26, 2008 at 12:42 am #171007nerdvaderMemberI c your point.
