What is your favorite IRC script?
I use the Winamp script and I use Visual IRC for the smilies script I have. If you use IRC I recommend you check out Visual IRC, in my opinion its a lot more user friendly.

May 27, 2005 at 12:44 am #122509TigerbladeParticipantI’ve only got a few scripts that i use, and they’re not really “scripts” so much as just shortcuts. I have an /opme command, so if for some reason i’m not opped and i need/want to be, i dont have to bother typing out the whole command. I have a /renick command, if i change my nickname and want to change it back without going back through the whole IDENTIFY process, especially if i’ve deopped myself and don’t want to be opped again when i change back to my regular name.
then of course there’s the built-in Winamp script, courtesy of Bersirc. i’ve also got a /policy, just in case some user needs a quick reminder of the basic policy of the #bigblueball channel is… that’s about it.
i’d say the /opme command (i’ve linked it to my F2 key) gets the most usage though.

February 2, 2006 at 3:20 am #122513PostinoMemberI prefer PnP and eXtreme … although they are for older versions… haven’t seen anything recent that has the same capabilities as these two, for the exception of Anaconda… but it is a bit too gimmicky..
February 2, 2006 at 9:58 pm #122510SpikeMemberI’ve got quite a few different scripts that I use on IRC, but the name-branded ones I use are the infamous Sh*tList Script, DarkEngine, the XDCC Browser, a lagbar script, and a Clones script.
I’ve written/acquired many others that don’t have names that are quite useful, as well.

March 24, 2006 at 12:53 am #122508imported_EvilSephMemberI use NNScript purely because I’ve been using it for a while and so am used to it. It has everything I need ready to go, out of the box.
