I have been getting this error -2147024981-80070005 and -2147024809-80070057. It only happens during commercial breaks and right when I start up my launchcast player. I have talked to tech support about it and they suggest I try upgrading my windows media player. I am running Windows Me and the Windows Media Player version is series 9. I have installed it with no luck. Still get the same error. Do you have any suggestions?

Otherwise, maybe try to un-install and re-install your messenger. Does this same error occur when you try to play Launchcast via the Launchcast site??

I think i had Windows ME for about two days till i danced up and down on the CD cursing microsoft and went back to Windows 2000 professional.
Do a complete uninstall and Install the full install not the installer suite from the webpage as all it’s tmp files are a nightmare and cause a lot of problems.
You can get the full 8.0.0.0701 here
Hope you get this problem sorted 🙂
August 26, 2006 at 3:37 am #151153timberwolf_73MemberI went through the launchcast website to listen to any station I get a 14-80070005 error. I am downloading Yahoo messenger right now.
August 26, 2006 at 4:29 am #151154timberwolf_73MemberI may have found a solution to the problem. I did do a reinstall of both Yahoo Messenger and Windows Media Player. I also emptied the cache files by physically going into the temporary internet files folder(C:windowstemporary internet files) and erased the contents. It seems to be working now.
