I used to have a program that was used with Yahoo IM that loaded obscene emoticons. Does anyone know where I can get it to use with the latest version of Yahoo IM?

OK….i downloaded and nothing happened!! what now?
January 17, 2003 at 2:21 pm #65032snugleupagainstMemberYou downloaded it. Ok, did you open it? I dont have it just found the link. BUT usually things like this are either a zip file you have to unzip or an .exe you have to open to install. Go to the folder you saved it to and unzip it or click the .exe and it should (as most things like this do) put the new Emotes in the Yahoo Messenger file that its needed in. Do this when you dont have Yahoo Messenger turned on and then the next time you turn Yahoo Messenger the Emotes will show up.

I already went through the installation process and it did not load even after restarting Yahoo and then rebooting the computer. I guess I will try again when I return home this evening. Thanks for your help.

That link returns a 404 page not found error. Can you double-check it and provide a working link please?

January 29, 2003 at 5:57 pm #65036jay_bird100MemberHope everyone understands about these emotions, that you are the only one that can see them. The person that you are sending them to wont see them unless they have them on there system. They only come up as regular emotions.

No your wrong, the “Emotes” they see! (they are text) The “Faces” you are correct about, they dont see them. Because that requires a file that they need to have also.

Snugy is right. -
