Hi BBB world.
I’ve at one time or another used all most every messenger I could find.. from the main ones.. (MSN, Aim, Yahoo, ICQ, Gtalk) .. to multi platform ones.. Trillian, Digsby, Pidgin, Meebo.. etc.
the main networks I use are Aim and Facebook Chat.. I like having MSN, GTalk and Yahoo connected if I can but if I could find a messenger to do what I wanted.. I could live without msn and yahoo.
here’s my deal. I use different things to connect to my IM Networks.. Desktop PC, 2 Laptops, Android Device.
what I’d really like to be able to do is have my chat history saved no matter how I’m connected to the network. I don’t care if I can’t read the chat history on the android device.. just as long as it’s logged along with my other conversations when I’m using my computers.. so if I need to look something up I can open up my log viewer on a computer.. login to gmail chat history where it’s saved.. or whatever.. and all my conversations be saved in one place. Many times I’ve had something said to me on my phone that I later needed to go check.. and I open up my logviewer on my computer and realize I had the conversation with my phone and it’s not saved anymore.
I know I could download an android app that logs my history.. but honestly I want something that logs all my history in one spot.
does anybody know if there is something available for Windows and Android that will have all my conversations saved in one spot? They can be different programs for Android and Windows. As long as they both save it the same spot somehow… something like “im-history.com service” .. but i don’t know if that still works or how reliable it is.
PS:
Ideas..
1. I have an FTP login to one of my domains where I could possibly store logs on.. if I could find an android app that saved chat history to an FTP folder.
2. Dropbox

I’ll check it out once more.
