i was just in my login on timewarner.com. saw that you could setup a callerid via aim with it. which seems pretty cool to me. whenever you get a call on your lan line, you receive an im with who’s calling you. perdy neat imo.
Seriously? Have you tried it? Take a few pics. I’d like to see this in action!
If this helps, here’s a screen shot of what it works like. It works with any client that uses an AIM screen name (so Google Chat should work, Trillian, Adium, Digsby, etc.).
And here are the instructions on how to set it up.
As far as I know, it only works if you use Time Warner Cable as your telephone provider.
You can take this a step further. Setup the caller ID-to-AIM thing, then sign-in to AIM on your smart phone (iPhone, Android, Blackberry, whatever) and you will get a notfication when you get an incoming call at your home number — even when you are away!
Pretty slick trick.
Посоветуйте классный фильм. Так чтобы за душу тронуло. а то порой одно лажа фильмы. Редкость попадается действительно хороший фильм.
