I ran across this statement this afternoon from the famous cookbook author Julia Child.
In 1989, Julia Child remarked that the shift toward healthy eating was having a distinct affect on our psyches: “What’s dangerous and discouraging about this era is that people really are afraid of their food. Sitting down to dinner is a trap, not something to enjoy. People should take their food more seriously. Learn what you can eat and enjoy it thoroughly.”
If it was true in 1989, it’s even more true today.
What are your feelings about planning meals and eating?
And here’s a link to the article: http://qz.com/162897/theres-nothing-left-to-eat-or-navigating-our-national-food-anxiety/
Incidentally, I’m in love with Quartz for news.
