has there been anything new on the new messenger that is supposed to be specially made for Windows Vista? I was just curious because I havent seen or heard anything other than the preview they posted awhile back.
Not yet, they offer an update alert service on the build in progress by entering your e-mail into the form and they will contact you when they are ready to release the first beta.
If you have vista it may prove valuable to do so and check up on Yahoo! Messenger for Windows Vista site on ocassion.

Good to know that I wasn’t the only one who had this problem. I fumbled for hours. I am still not allowed to post URL’s due to the rules but here goes. Enter www dot bigblueball dot com then a /forums/yahoo-messenger-support/To post, right click “forum rules” in the dark blue header.
Not that this will answer your question, but it is interesting.
Here’s a video on the NEW Vista Version of Messenger.
Could be the reason it’s taking so long is that they did not update messenger, as said in this video they have rewritten it from scratch.
