How do I change the screen names in the message box to an arrow?
Is it possible to get rid of the scrollbar in the buddy list?
And how do I change the arrow next to the group name in the buddy list?
I am using version 5.5.3598.

So you’ll just have to fiddle for yourself unless all you want is “->” and no F2 functionality, then just change the ASCII inbetween the bold tags to -> and change the hex values of the F2 portion (starting at the <!–) to zeros…remember, not the ASCII part, but the hex part.
Anyways, for that in 5.5.3598, you’ll need to go into icbmui with a hex editor and go to offset 2af0e.
I’ve never tried removing the scrollbar and can’t remember if it can be done or not. Changing the arrow is another thing I haven’t tried before, and I wish the winmod forums were still around, because you’d find your answers to both of those there. I’ll look into the scrollbar, but don’t know where to start for the arrow image next to group names.

A helpful resource is over at WinT’s mods and even though it doesnt mention 5.5, check the comments, google a little bit, and you can find the correct offsets.
Post back with your results, and a screenshot if you get a lot done ;]

I didn’t see the bold tags on that offset either but I’ve gotten rid of the bold for my screen names though I’ve forgotten how because it’s been over a year. Perhaps I’ve done something wrong.
