Disabling right alt+w in Messenger?

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a new Lenovo Laptop PC, and I’m unsure if this is a Lenovo setting or for YIM, but this behavior only appears on YIM. I use the US International Keyboard, and need the character å to talk with a friend in Scandinavia. But when I press the combo alt+w on my keyboard for the US Int’l combo, I close out the message window, and find this frustrating to no end! I have already unchecked “enable shortcut keys” on Messenger, and this does not help. Does anyone else have any advice on how to disable this particular shortcut, who also uses the US Int’l Kbd?
