Telecom is by far the biggest telephone network in New Zealand, and also runs Xtra, the largest ISP (with about 60% of the whole market).
Until now Xtra has been known as “XtraMSN” (try going to “xtra.co.nz” !) – but now apparently they’re moving their allegiance to Yahoo instead.
Now that’s interesting. I guess you’ve been the lead in this effort then, touting Yahoo and all. Seriously though, I wonder why the switch; perhaps MSN just couldn’t keep up with the high demands of New Zealanders 😉
Most New Zealanders stopped using MSN back when they stopped the chat rooms(So 2 speak). “New Zealand and Brazil: 24-hour moderated chat rooms. All MSN is doing is sending chat room users underground. – BBC Archives” .. I only wonder what took so long. Maybe telecom N.Z is just trying to get back in the good books, I foresee VOIP being involved.
