i did a search and nothing really hinted at what I need. I know files on cd-r’s aren’t really deleted they are just invisible to the file system (lack of better term, forgive me), so how can I get these files “back”. I have sony cd-r 700mb 80min. this cd was not closed b/c I used it for school purposes…just add more to it when needed. I honestly have no idea why it did this, other than I was having problems with the drive, but I seemed to have fixed that. Please this is a whole semester of work and the start of a thesis…thanks for any help.
This is why you back things up on different media’s. Have you tried any file recovery software, like “GetDataBack”? And have you tried it in a different CDROM drive?
yes yes yes I know I know I know put me up on a stake and start to roast me more…I usually do back up another way just not this time. I haven’t tried on another cd-rom but am doing that today, and the purchase of $50+ software is the last option. Anything else anyone can suggest? thanks david.:D
