See who has you as permanently offline

Yeah that actually works ShadowG,thats exactly what happens when somebody has you on offline.I have one question though,what if that person has put you on the ignore list,you’ll still see them offline.Is there anyway to know you’ve been blocked?

I’m not sure about it Strigoi, but I don’t think there is a way to see if a person has you on their ignore list. I do know that if someone has you permanently offline, he can still log in as invisible and you won’t see him, but you will see him sign out.
If you have someone clicked to Permanently offline and want to change them back to Offline, you will have to click them back Online before you can click them to Offline for it to stick.
Drromeotn, I’m not sure if it’ll work but try to click them permanently offline, sign out, then back in to see if it sticks. Check to make sure your profile is also clicked to show you offline. Also on privacy settings is ‘allow yahoo web sites to show when I am online; uncheck this.
WilliamLee is right when he said to check preferences for privacy settings when un-clicking the ‘show me as idle..’ and clicking the ‘do not show anyone how long I’ve been idle”, then clicking Apply. It’s true that a lot of people don’t remember to click Apply. (I’ve even done it myself many times). I’ve done all of the above and have no problem with anyone seeing me online. Just remember when you use permanently offline, people on your list shouldn’t be able to see you online but will be able to see you go offline when you sign out.
I believe Yahoo will always have glitches in it, but we catch on fast. I guess things could be worse…..they could also be better. :rolleyes:

Yes you will, showing offline is just status, if you want to not see messages you must ignore them also.
