Hi all,
been a regular reader in this forum and now I believe this is something I have not come across so far.
i have been PMed by someone whom I do not know and they have my name. I believe they are pple I met online but have deceided to PM me in their other alias.
can someone tell me how I can know their aliases? or at least know who their primary id is or something.
well I hope this is not against your forum policy or anything.

Moreover make sure tht the current id is an alias and the old id is the primary id. you can make sure which is the primary id by emailing each of the ids. The emailid from which your email bounces of is the alias and the other one is the primary id. If that person is sincerely interested to be your friend, then I dont know why he or she will hide his/her primary id or old ids from u, if you ask them…
Moreover talk to them, if their ASL is same or the other info is quite same then its the same person,if not, then probably some other person.
HTH.May 11, 2004 at 6:54 pm #79944tangledlisaMemberStart asking questions. It’s not uncommon for someone to randomly message on Yahoo -there are tons of ways for someone to get your name. As far as knowing if it’s a person you’ve spoke to before (using alias) – you can’t do anything about someone’s dishonesty. If your cautious about it, ignore them and if they want to talk bad enough they’ll go back to using their main ID.
