so im having this problem w/yahoo messenger…i have myself added on my friend list…and well whenever i go to change my status…it will not change…and it if it does…it takes forever to do….i was just wondering if anyone else was having this problem…*note* ive uninstalled/reinstalled yahoo messenger twice….thanks in advance.
My best guess is: It’s either lag on your end or yahoo’s end. When your computer is being slow, it will be slow in sending your status change to yahoo. When yahoo servers are being slow due to large usage at that time, it will be slow in giving you your status change.
Also, by any chance is your connection setting set to Firewall with no proxies? I noticed this setting makes it hard for me to change my status IF it changes it at all. (so i avoid this setting)
So yeah, in short, yes i’ve had this problem too and i’m sure many others have too, but there isn’t really much you can do to fix it especially if it’s on yahoo’s end. But if it’s on yours, it’s probably just because you are doing lots of things at once or something or your net is just being slow.
