Hi All,
With Windows Live Messenger (latest version), I’ve found that it will automatically lower the volume when I speak into a microphone (I’m running it with speakers). It’s one thing to auto-dim the audio slightly, but it can drop as low as 2% randomly at times, when I’m in a conversation and playing a game at the same time.
I’ve tried the Windows 7 proposed solution to “do nothing” option via Control Panel, for their audio ducking, but that doesn’t help. It’s with Windows Live Messenger only (since there’ve been no issues with other chat programs like Ventrillo).
Has anyone found a solution to disable this Auto-Audio Adjustment with Windows Live Messenger?
Please help! Thanks.
Hi bigblue,
You got me on this one. I checked my WLM’s Setup audio and video devices and there’s no option to automatically lower the volume. However, there is an option (for my Logitech webcam) to use “RightSound” Perhaps it’s your webcam software that’s doing it?
