Hi,
my Microsoft Windows XP SP 2 was giving me tons of troubles. So I installed a fresh new installation of Windows xp Sp 2 in another partition of the hard drive so that its like a different OS and has almost no relationship ( except the hard-disk files ). Even the settings are different.
I have broadcom wireless network driver for my wireless connection which works perfectly with my old windows xp sp2 set up. But with the new installation, the “device manager” doesnt show the driver. So my wireless network doesnt work for the separate new Windows xp sp2 installation.
Is there any place where I can get the driver and install it into the separate installation or where can I locate this driver on my computer and then copy the same file to the Windows folder ofthe new installation ?
EDIT: Problem solved. All the time I was going to Broadcom’s website and searching for the driver which I wasnt getting. But yesterday it struck me and I went to Compaq’s website( my laptop is of Compaq’s ), and then I got everything I wanted. It works just purrrfect.
Hehehe, okie, glad everything is solved =P
