Has anyone had any problems chatting with people on WLM from Yahoo IM? It isn’t working. tried talking to a friend on WLM from YIM and no go. And, earlier today/tonight I could log into my messenger, but not my email account. It would just hang.
Thoughts on this?
Thanks.
February 21, 2007 at 4:47 am #112100imported_Ven0mMemberAre you just having these issues on the Yahoo side? I’ve noticed weird problems for the last 24 hours, including not being able to access Yahoo! Mail Beta last night. I suggest as a precaution to empty your browser’s cache, and try mail then.
As for WLM/Y!M, I just tested this with myself, and it works. I’m guessing it’s just a small server issue.
One last thing, is it possible your friend doesn’t have the latest WLM version (v8.1 final) which allows the interop to happen?
February 21, 2007 at 4:51 am #112103Mac_BlueMemberIt seems now I can get into my email, about half an hour ago, but before that and most of the evening was a no-go.
My friend apparently (I think) was getting my IM’s but I wasn’t receiving any. Hopefully whatever the problem is, will get fixed.
Thanks for replying!
February 21, 2007 at 4:53 am #112101imported_Ven0mMemberNo problem. 🙂 As a precaution, what build of Yahoo! Messenger are you using?
February 22, 2007 at 5:10 pm #112104Mac_BlueMemberI’m using 8.1. Never had any problems before the other night. Why? Is there something in this newer version that has bugs in it?
February 22, 2007 at 7:11 pm #112102imported_Ven0mMemberI was asking because I always recommend using the latest build of Yahoo! Messenger (even Windows Live Messenger). It’s probably a server problem (I’ve encountered other server problems between WLM and Y!M sometimes). 🙂 Report back here if you continue to have problems.
