Secunia has reported a vulnerability in Yahoo! Messenger that allows malicious people to compromise a users system.
According to Secunia, a malicious user can craft an overly long filename, causing a buffer overflow and allowing them to potentially execute code on your computer.
Yahoo! has reportedly fixed the vulnerability in version 5.6.0.1358, but they have not been automatically updating users to this new version.
To install this version, uninstall your current version of Yahoo! Messenger, then reinstall from the Yahoo! Messenger web site.
