To fix the task manager disabled issue, follow these steps:
Using Group Policy Editor – for Windows XP Professional
Click Start, Run, type gpedit.msc and click OK.
Navigate to this path
User Configuration
=> Administrative Templates
==> System
===> Ctrl+Alt+Delete Options
====> Remove Task Manager
Double-click the Remove Task Manager option.
Set the policy to Not Configured or Disabled.Using Registry Editor – for Windows XP home edition:
Click Start, Run, type regedit and click OK.
Navigate to [HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem]
In the right pane, delete the “DisableTaskMgr” key.
