Well.. other than possibly Mr. Taiwan, Europe has their own shoe size. What is like 11 here, may be 45 there?
Since you brought that up, my shoe size is 27.0. :p
…which is about 9.0 in the US. I have small feet…this thread is pointless. 🙂
CharlesMemberCorrect me if I am wrong, but don’t girls have different shoe sizes than guys? Oh well…

On the real topic, whether or not it is another Vietnam; it isn’t. Vietnam was us going in originally to help France, then it became personal. Vietnam took place in a different part of the world. Vietnam involved different people. Vietnam was conducted differently. We were fighting for different reasons. They are two separate things impossible to compare.Noted. And they was always my thoughts but I was just interested what others thoguht as the media had been linking the two wars latly.
Not to my knowledge they haven’t. A while back, Ted Kennedy and other radical liberals such as Robert Byrd and Terry McAuliffe have been trying to label it as Vietnam for political advantage. However, I don’t think many people look at it that way.
If the Iraq situation became identical to that of Vietnam, the American people wouldn’t stand for it (myself) and would likely elect a President with the same view.

Why is there no use complaining about the war? Should we just accept our government’s decisions or doesn’t it bother you because your not a troop, family member of a troop or an Iraqi?
Umm…that’s what the government does, makes decisions…
I have no control over the situation in Iraq or how our government handles it past the point of voting (which I can’t even do yet). There is no use worrying about something completely out of your control– in this case, Iraq.
The most one can do is vote in November, but the Nov. election isn’t a vote for or against Iraq. It is a vote for a Commander-in-Cheif. Even in that respect, there is yet again no control over the Iraq situation.
There is no reason for pulling out of Iraq right now. However, reasons to stay in are: we have a job to finish, backing out is a win for the terrorists, and there is no reason to leave.

The only similarity I can find is that they are both wars. 😮
CharlesMemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by spikeI actually enjoy the Maxthin Browser more. http://www.maxthon.com/. It is exactly like IE6, in the sense of it has all the same compatability, but there are no popups, tabbed windows, and customizable skins. Firefox has compatability issues, that’s why I would choose this one.
No, Firefox doesn’t have compatibility issues, the site is just written poorly.
IMO, Firefox is the best. IE is good with SP2 and popup blocker turned on everything unless control is held down. I have gotten popups with both, but not after enabling IE’s all unless control is held down. After a few days, holding control down becomes a habit that makes my browsing much better.
CharlesMemberHeh. Thanks everybody…
I’ll be sure to use the stabbing stick as a last option. 😉
September 17, 2004 at 12:18 pm in reply to: Any other “smart” kids havin trouble with classes? #38068CharlesMemberYeah…I’m in 9th too, and been having tons of homework. I guess I shouldn’t have taken all the honors classes w/o study hall. 🙁
I’ve noticed that I do have a lot more homework…and while I understand my geometry, the biology homework is hard and a PITA.
But got an 80 on a really hard book test on a book I didn’t read. :p
Honestly though, I dunno what to think about it all being so difficult. Our English teacher came out and told us that most of us would be getting Cs, Ds, and Fs on upcoming reports– but that he would be supplying other work that would be less strict in the grading for us to catch up on. Geometry isn’t hard for me yet…it’s just logic (something I always thought Algebra lacked a little).
CharlesMemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by ys8er2323Quote:quote:Originally posted by AwesomeSauceThe video WAS very well-made, very convincing. Good point, ys8er, a 757 can not go over a freeway and not have somebody feel something. But then again, a plane can’t just crash into a building and dissapear. But it seems very convincing… I can’t say I completely believe it, though.
thats the thing! it wasnt a plane thats what its saying
Yeah, and the government brainwashed all the people saying they saw it all here. Where they all swear they saw an American Airlines flight go into the Pentagon… It amazes me that some people will believe a flash movie put out by some random guy on the internet over witnesses that were there and SAW THE AA PLANE GO INTO THE BUILDING.
Hmm…witnesses backed up by sources on credible news organizations, or a flash movie with a GIF animation in which whatever hit the Pentagon is unclear and could easily be faked???
CharlesMemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by QwertyThe video is very well made. Second link doesnt look to legit though.
Um, well…it provides sources to everything…unlike the original…and that makes the first one legit but the other not? Nice logic there…
This whole rumor has been debunked 5 times over…but I grant you “believers” this…it would make a good sci-fi movie. 🙂
CharlesMemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by colingo to google, and type “byte converter” its amazing what people do in there spare time. Those are actually pretty useful when Im seeing how much space I got for CD’s, DVD’s etc…
You may or may not be aware of this, but it is built into Google…
Just type in X bytes in megabytes or something similar…it does just about everything I can think of (except currency)
CharlesMemberBesides, why would our government do this? Think of the complications of pulling this off, having so many people who were there to lie…it is just wayyyyy too farfetched for me to believe.
CharlesMemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by spikeDo me a favor and provide a link please. For some reason my browser won’t download the file correctly. It won’t recognize it. So can you get a direct link to a zip or iso file? thanks
If this mirror is slow, you may want to try a different one.
…or BitTorrent

Exactly why Linux probably isn’t for you…
Which is why I want to install it properly and get it to work so I can practice. Anyway, so using Knoppix, it will help to boot to Linux for me?
Knoppix doesn’t require you to install anything to your HDD. It is like booting DOS from a floppy only booting Linux from a CD. It has KDE, so you aren’t stuck at a command line, and it is as easy as it is going get.

Perhaps if you are serious about Linux, try Knoppix. (http://www.knoppix.org) IMO, it makes a good install on the system even though it is meant primarily to be a no-install boot CD for a Linux system.
