It means there was no reason given. Try drawing the obvious conclusions yourself in the future. π
DJHyperbyteMemberTigerblade wrote:it appears that way. i noticed the + next to my name earlier yesterday, but it was dropped off later. i guess Jeff or DJ were playing around with the user templates seeing what styles would look good.Just Jeff, please. Jeff thinks DJ isn’t skilled enough anymore to be forum admin, so now I’m just system administrator. πAs for the +, it’s a bit weird that’s it’s there. The actual meaning of a + behind a username is that the user is on your buddy list, but in this case… it’s decoration, I guess. Whoopdeedoo. π
DJHyperbyteMemberMartinBradley wrote:Erm…just as a sidenote DJ, what’s happened to your Administrator status?Well, I’ve been told I’m not skilled enough to be an administrator or team leader for that matter any longer.I’m still good enough to be the system administrator for BigBlueNetwork, though. π

You’ll have to wait another millenium for that to happen, since the first 3 numbers shouldn’t change anytime soon. π

DJHyperbyteMember“Windows One Care”
“When does one care?”It’s amusing. If you don’t understand it you may want to re-re-re-re-read it. π
DJHyperbyteMemberAt the bottom of the homepage there’s a tiny link called ‘Link to us‘. Enjoy.
DJHyperbyteMemberDavid wrote:Basically what you would need to do once you obtain a program is create the registry keys under /run/ for each user to specify a different resolution.Don’t mess with the registry. Instead, you should put a shortcut to the program in the user’s “Startup” folder in the start menu. But, judging from your reply, you found a program that did all of this already for you.
DJHyperbyteMemberYes… and maybe we should get some IRC statistics on the site again, like the IRC statistics image I made (the one that was always on the right sidebar of the forum), or the code I wrote that can display which users are on IRC at the bottom of the forums. That way people can actually see how busy IRC is or is not. π
Just some ideas…
DJHyperbyteMemberBe sure to save it in the JPEG file format. You will lose some quality, but you’ll lose even more filesize, meaning the picture is suitable for internet usage.
As for resizing, most image editing software (including Microsoft Paint and Microsoft Photo Editor) can resize pictures, as well as save them in the JPEG format.
DJHyperbyteMemberCheck your cabling. Verify your speakers have power and verify that the cable running from your computer goes to the speakers.
Also, it would be wise to test the speakers. To do this, you can turn them on at a above-normal volume and then unplug them from your computer. If you tap the tip of the plug with your finger you should hear the speakers crackle a bit.
Now, if the speakers pass this test… you can start looking at software. π

DJHyperbyteMemberWindows networking uses WINS to resolve network names. E.g, it uses that to translate the name “Jeff-Laptop” into a network (IP) address. Unfortunately, WINS isn’t a protocol that can travel past routers. There are two easy solutions:
– See if your second router can be put in ‘bridging’ or ‘switching’ mode
– Use a switch or hub instead of the second routerLess easy, but also very efficient solutions:
– Access the computers by IP address and not by name (\192.168.0.7 instead of \JeffLaptop)
– Set up a WINS server -
