So is that to replace the Beta version? Do I need to download it again, even though I’m using yahoo beta 8?
Mac_BlueMemberYou have to get the Yahoo 8, download it and then add that person. Someone you know from MSN is trying to add you from their list. The only way it will go away is, add them to your list. It’s too bad it doesn’t let you know WHO the person is though.

Here’s the dumb question of the day. 😮
I am using Yahoo 8 Beta. I’ve seen that they’re offering 8 now no more beta. DO I have to download it again, or do I just stick with what I downloaded afew weeks ago..(Told ya it was a dumb question!)

Mac_BlueMemberThe Yahoo server is down, so wait afew hours and try again. There is a thread already about this in this section.
July 22, 2006 at 10:02 pm in reply to: And the Yahoo! Server goes down… (currently now working!) #148632Mac_BlueMemberI can get into my yahoo email, but I can’t sign onto my Yahoo IM.
Good to know that others are having a problem too and it’s not just me!
Mac_BlueMemberI logged into my Yahoo messenger and got alerts too this morning, so yeah, guess they fixed the problem.
Mac_BlueMemberWell, atleast you heard back from Yahoo, as unhelpful as their advice was! I haven’t had a response yet…But I will keep you updated if they do write me back!
Hopefully they’ll fix this bug soon.
Mac_BlueMemberThanks for answering! I actually ended up downloading the Beta lastnight.
I posted a question in the WLM section, but I’ll ask here too. Does WLM have the same feature as Yahoo when it comes to being invisible? Showing online to some, and offline to others? Or do you have to block them or put them on ignore?
Just curious. A friend of mine thinks she’s being put on block but she has checked to see if the person is blocking her, and they aren’t, yet some see that other friend online, and some don’t, even though they aren’t showing as blocked. (Can’t remember the program that shows who has blocked you on their list.)Mac_BlueMemberThe weird thing is, when Yahoo finally got back to me about this problem, they explained how to fix it so that the greeting would come up with name, instead of the actual email address and it still didn’t go back to how it was, it stayed the same.
I doubt someone hacked in my account seeing as nothing has been changed and no weird emails have been sent out…
Think you’re right, a Yahoo glitch. Maybe I’ve just been lucky, I’ve been a yahoo user for about 2 years or so now.
Thanks for replying Fancy!
Mac_BlueMemberGuess I’m the only one…??? Which means either someone has figured out my password or my yahoo email is doing tricks.
I’ve had no other problems though, no weird emails going out or in, so that makes me think it’s a problem on Yahoo’s end, even though they claim it isn’t.
hmmmmm…..
Mac_BlueMemberI looked and nothing has changed in there. That’s the thing! Weird huh?
I also emailed yahoo directly, though I’ve not heard from them yet.
Thanks for your input!
Mac_BlueMemberNope, Canadian as far as I know. I’m yahoo.ca not yahoo.com.
I’ve done nothing different than usual…
Mac_BlueMember“You cannot connect as you’re signed in at a different location”
Has happened to me once not too long ago. Freaked me out and I did a full virus scan, found nothing. Rebooted my machine and I was able to log on, no problem.I hope that it was just a fluke and it was a mistake on Yahoo’s end, not mine. I pray noone has gotten into my account and snooped.
If a keylogger was installed by a spyware, what happens then? I mean, WHO is it that gets into your account. I know this is a stupid question, but what do they do with the info? Or do they send out spam from the account?
Thanks.
Mac_BlueMemberWell all I have is Yahoo IM, not AIM or MSN.
Here’s another stupid question…So I sign into Yahoo IM through Meebo, what happens next? (See? I told ya it’s a stupid question! haha!)
Either way, I’m not too sure of this person’s AIM name, I could only guess.
Thanks Tigerblade for your help!
