Good plan of action. Check dermot’s posts for a link to his site.
mfenechMemberYou’re correct. It’s a recent development since Yahoo did maintenance early in the week. Just have to be patient.
mfenechMemberI dunno….something bothers me about putting valid user ID’s up on websites.

Exactly Mfenech… Which is WHY there are only 5 programmers working on yahoo messenger… No revenue.
If that were true, Yahoo wouldn’t bother to maintain a Chat service at all.

And Yahoo chat is BOTH a program AND a service.
Please explain this.

But the simple fact is, that yahoo will put more time, energy and resources into their PAID email accounts, their PAID internet service and their PAID web sites, then they will for some of their free services. I don’t agree with it, but thats what happens.
So why would you disagree with it? That’s a perfectly rational business decision. You speak as if Chat is an entitlement.

I’m not saying people shouldn’t make suggestions… however being a free program, they’re not going to put a lot of effort into it.
Yahoo Chat is a service, not a program. The amount of manpower and resources applied has nothing to do with it being a free service. It’s based on the potential ad revenue.
mfenechMembermfenechMemberIn addition to what the last poster said, your best bet is to never acknowledge someone who’s harassing you in any way.
Remember that people who harass or bully others in Chat are simply abusing a newfound power they’ve never had in real life. It’s an ego boost that also brings out a controlling propensity inherent in those with low self-esteem. Ultimately, they’re only trying to get your attention and intimidate by any means possible to gain the upper hand.
If you do respond to them, you’re just playing right into their hands. If you actually fight back, chances are they’ll ratchet up their attack and attempt to do worse things to you. But if you do ignore them they’ll eventually get bored and move on, once they realize they can’t get to you. Just be smart about it.

In the “Romance” category they removed the age groups and replaced them all with “Flirting”.
Huh…?

are there any GOOD voice chat rooms that anyone knows of out there? other than paltalk
If you’re just wanting a chat system to meet up with your existing friends from Yahoo and elsewhere, try Voice and Video Chat. It has the highest sound quality I’ve heard on any chat system. Best thing about it is there’s no program to download. It’s a web-based system. Just register a name and go create a room for yourself.
mfenechMemberVenom – do you think that means they scrapped the Captcha idea, or that they just haven’t implemented it yet?
mfenechMemberGold, Diamond, and Silver memberships?
mfenechMemberVenom,
Any idea why the Room List still shows the same rooms?
mfenechMemberThe new servers are in place now. Wait for more information from the support staff.

It’s definitely going to be sad to see C-Mode and Gawd Mode die though.
Can you elaborate on this? Are the boot exploits going to be removed, thereby eliminating the need for booter protection?
mfenechMemberNo, sorry.
