I don’t know if I’m allowed to ask this here or not…but a friend told me about sexual emoticons for yahoo messenger. Could anyone tell me if there is a link to get these?
Thanks
April 21, 2003 at 10:40 pm #96961LouisSheffieldMemberLOL – a quick web-check only revealed the “old fashioned” type to me … a sequence of characters that in and of themselves looked like (ummmmm – well – YOU know:D)
I don’t believe there’s a mechanism for the graphical version of these without Yahoo at least being involved in their parsing. I don’t think they would go there …

April 22, 2003 at 7:30 am #96962Vegas BartenderMemberThere are some “naughty” emoticons at this site http://www.nhyrvana.com/smile2.html
April 22, 2003 at 7:37 am #96960LouisSheffieldMemberyep – still think I’m right … read in the right panel at the link
NOW important point….. unless your friends do the same to theirs, they will see the defaults, or whatever they replaced their smiles with .
The smileys don’t transfer – only the invoking codes do
April 22, 2003 at 8:47 am #96957Jeff HesterKeymasterYou are correct Louis. If you install any alternate smileys for Yahoo! Messenger, only you will see them (and you’ll always see them… in lieu of the defaults). They do not automatically show up for the people you’re chatting with. For that to work, they’ve got to install them, too!
Beware! If you overwrite the default smileys, the “new” smileys will always appear when someone sends a smiley code until you either reinstall Yahoo! Messenger or install a different set of smileys.
April 22, 2003 at 9:42 am #96965Pitbull On RoidsMemberYup. I’ve got both set’s installation files. Right now I’m using the sexual set…… but I’ve got the backup of the default ones. The sexual set only comes in bitmap (.bmp) format in your messenger folder. However, yahoo messenger client reads the bitmaps still pics as animated .gifs and displays them that way. You can get the default ones in .gif format in your messenger folder. Their animations will work in/out of messenger unlike the bitmapped sexual set. These have to be read by messenger for animation……. unless you’re clever enough to know how to work around that. 😎
April 22, 2003 at 9:53 am #96964Pitbull On RoidsMemberOops….. my bad. The sexual ones do infact come in .gif format. I had to look again to make sure. They also come in bitmap (.bmp) format as well. It’s the default ones that just come in the .gif format which don’t animate. I was had that wrong. The default set doesn’t come in bitmap format but it wouldn’t be hard to convert them to a still image .bmp file…. not that anyone would care to do this anyway cuz it wouldn’t be animated. 🙂
April 22, 2003 at 10:04 am #96963Pitbull On RoidsMemberYet another mistake, lol. “It’s the default ones that just come in the .gif format which don’t animate. I was had that wrong.”
Correction:
It’s the default ones that just come in the .gif format which DO animate in/out of messenger.FINAL CORRECTION, both sets come in .bmp and .gif………… The only exception to this is that the hidden default emoticons only come in .gif and aren’t in .bmp format. There, sorry for all of the insanity. I think I need to go to bed now. I pull all-nighters way too much ! :p
