Yes, when we IM something under the alias name, we see that yahoo sends them thru the main ID. But they receive it under the alias id. you can check this out by sending something from the alias and asking the receiver to copy and paste your message as they receive it. So that you can have an idea under what id they are receiving your message. HTH.
