I’m also thinking maybe its a region problem. Either the disc your trying to use is from another region, or your dvd-rom is set to the wrong region or none at all. I’m not positive about this cause I have no experience trying to use discs from other regions. But open the device manager, go to the dvd-rom properties and look for some kind of option to set the region. I’m not sure exactly where its located, but I’m almost certain its in there somewhere.
i have the latest firmware, I have no clue bout what you mean by recorded dvd media, it only plays it doesnt record. and I putin american discs.
