1. Some people I talk to seem to have these themes that come out of the side of their window when we are having a convo. What are these called and how do I get rid of them. They are very annoying.
2. I have a friend and we are on each other’s buddy list. We haven’t blocked each other, but on one of my screennames, he can’t see me when I’m online, and I can’t see him. When on other screen names, I can see him fine. Has this happened to anyoen else? Can it be fixed?
1. These are called AIM expressions. To disable these:
Go to My AIM > Edit Options >> Edit Preferences >>> Click the “AIM Expressions” Tab >>>> and uncheck the box next to “Show AIM Expressions from others”
2. Are you ghosting?
Ghosting is when you click the eye by your name on your Buddylist, and AIM shows you offline when your really online, and you will still be able to talk to people. Though, this can’t target specific people. Are you using any AIM programs / addons?
I’m not ghosting. The eye is open. And considering I can see his sn online when I am on a different sn, I know he is not ghosting.
And I’m not using any add-ons except sometimes I use DeadAIM. However, I still had the problem when I had DeadAIM uninstalled.
I just noticed another person who appears offline on one screen name of mine and online on another screen name of mine.
Can anyone help me?
Maybe they blocked you:eek:
i don’t think they did.
any other ideas?
