ParticipantPlease put some thought into your posts, you make absolutely no sense at all.
Also, of course that image won’t work, I cannot see onto your C: drive. Use a free image web host to display an image.

MemberIf you have Windows 95/98/ME your AIM icon on the taskbar will look like its 5.2 or below.. if you have Windows 2000 or XP .. it will look smoother and “newer” looking lol. I know what your talking about.

MemberAfter decyphering your first message, is it that your AIM is displaying a cheap 16-color icon? Well, that’s easy to fix. Go into your display properties and set your color from 16-bit to 32-bit. You will probably have to restart AIM (by restart I mean exit all the way) or the computer.

MemberWhat I mean is that the whole icon changes, not exactly making it smoother. 5.5 icon is much better and you could say smoother. I’m still wondering because AIM+ is only compatible with 4.8 then is that changing my icon? Any other possibilities? It’s not a major problem but I want my AIM running very nicely, like a nice doggy.

MemberAfter I restarted my computer it worked, the doggy obeys me!!! When do you all think there will be another new version of AIM? Once all the complaints come in, there will be sure to be upgrades!!!

MemberThis is the point your missing, when AIM “upgrades” it doesn’t add as many features as it does “bloat-ware” mostly spyware. Upgrade in today’s world is bad!

MemberI suggest everyone goes back to 5.1 if they are having problems with 5.5 .. Cuz to me 5.1 is the best overall.
