MemberI recently used webroot spysweeper to clean up my computer and it helped alot, but now I am not able to sign in to msn messenger 7. I get a message that I cannot sign in at this time and then I get an error number of “80072f0d”. I have tried everything including uninstalling and reinstalling messenger 6.2, that doesnt’ work either. Does anyone have any ideas???? really I have tried everything

MemberOne of my contacts got the same error message while trying to sign in the other day, and wrote Messenger support about it. Apparently there’s something wrong with their servers.

Memberis 80072f0d the same thing as 80072efd? how come some of my friends that have the beta are still able to get on and i cant? how can there be something wrong with the servers? http://messenger.msn.com/Status.aspx if you go to this site it says that there is nothing wrong with the servers…

When some users sign-in to Messenger they may encounter any of the following errors; “Sorry, we were unable to sign you in
to the .NET Messenger service at this time”, “Please try again later 80072f0d”, or “We were unable to sign you in to the .NET Messenger service,
possibly because of a problem with your Internet connection”, ” Please try again later. 81000370″.
This could be caused by a mismatched passport certificate on the user’s browser.
We are aware of this and we are diligently working to resolve this as soon as possible.
Rest assured that the difficulty you are experiencing is temporary and will be resolved shortly.
Please give us 48 to 72 hours to work on this.

Memberhey guys, i got the exact same problem and of course i need my daily dose of msn…so i have resorted to using web messenger it works fine just a real basic form of msn so if u r like me and need to go on….i suggest this: http://webmessenger.msn.com/

MemberHey Leroyd, I completely sympathise about your need for a daily dosage of msn! Im the same! anywayz what a was going to say is the link you gave about web messenger, it doesn’t work for me everytime it asks me for my password again then it just takes me back to the msn web page i started, so if you could help me that would fantabulous!
