Quick question =)
Latley, whenever I visit a chat room strange things happen. You know when a buddy signs on and that notification window pops up from the taskbar? Well, while in a chat room, I would have these notification windows pop up with names that are not on my list. Most times, its usually one, but it can be as many as four at a time. This never happened with the previous versions of YM. Anyone else ever had this happen and, if yes, what can be done about?? Or!!! if you know how to do it, someone would be very happy to know =)
ThanX
Yup, sounds like an exploit. I’ve heard my friends complain about seeing bot ID’s logging in on their list with weird statuses. It has never happened to me though. And it’s probably because I use 7.0 😕
I’ve heard some complaints about the new version of Yahoo! messenger. It’s still a bit buggy and needs some work. You could switch back to the older version of messenger till the problems are fixed. Or you could try Y!Tunnel, though I doubt it works with version 7.5. And I’m sure you wouldn’t want to waste $ 17 for nothing. Hope this helps 🙂
Not an exploit, just Yahoo’s servers on the blip as they have been for the last couple of months due to the headache partnership with msn ..seeing 2 builds of yahoo messenger been fired out to catch up with msn’s build.
its a harmless error and it’s not malicous.
