Alright, I’m trying to decide what to work on next… are there any ideas… right now it’s either a toss up between Redo’ing the the way the app works… so that it won’t be so fat ass-ish in memory (right now it eats up like 24 megs of RAM in idle… ouch) OR… put more work into trying to make it insert the smiley for you (so you don’t have that copy and paste nonsense)… OR… implement a way to use custom smileys… so that if you made a custom set and tried using it in AIM… the smiley would be like… “oh, this isn’t an AOL smileyset, I need to go download this from ATP”… sorta like the way AOL does it with their sets…
Any ideas?

Well, if I’d install a program that I like lot, but then later find out it uses 24mb of my ram, I’d have it deleted again within 1 minute. I’ve only got 128mb physical ram. 😉
ok well the whole sending to the IM business automatically seems not be not THAT bad normally… but if you’re running deAdAIM then it causes problems… are many of you guys employing the tabbed windows offered by it?… if not, no prob.

I have dead aim and am using tabs–I need my tabs, that is why I got dead aim, but it is no real BIG problem to copy and paste, just annoying.i would have to agree, i mean i dont really need to use a lot of different smileys but yeah thats a lot of RAM, even for someone like me with a lot of it… we can deal with the copy/paste thing, just work on cleaning it up a little, dropping the memory usage… etc etc
yeah i love the DeadAIM tabs… i hate not being able to use them when i’m on other computers
ha, lil bit… sucker should roll itself down to 1-2k when you dump it to the tray… I’m working on a few ways to do it… hopefully, I’ve come up with an idea… but it’s going to make “dynamically” loading the new smileysets pretty difficult… ahh, maybe I’ll stop being so cryptic and just get to work… thanks for the input
