KeymasterWould you like my social security number and drivers license, while you’re at it? A/S/L is the most inane question… it makes steam come out of my ears!
Age? Really old.
Sex? Yes please.
Location? Planet EarthWhat I do for a living? I’m a knowledge management consultant and product manager.
Frankly, I’m more interested in what your interests are, how you spend your time, and what I can learn from you (and vice versus) rather than your age, sex or location. I’m not looking for a date, so those questions are pretty irrelevant.

Participantplus, with 20000+ members… hmm. it is a pretty inane question, if i’m ever talking with someone new online, and they ask me for my asl, end of conersation. if i do choose to keep talking to them, i generally use jeff’s answers, except for the really old part :p

MemberI think on conversation it’s a fair enough question. Not so much on a forum.

KeymasterI like to scare people away — something I’m apparently very skilled at (so I’m told). I know… I’m wicked. 🙂
Seriously, I’ll chat with people older than me and people younger than me, of either sex. Location doesn’t matter to me. What matters to me is are they interesting? Do they have interesting things to say? Are they someone I would enjoy spending time with? If not, the conversation is usually very short.

MemberYes but conversation can be spured knowing where somebody is from. Eg: The other day when you checked that I was australian before talking about the tennis. See? Age and sex arn’t that important but location is a fair enough question in my opinion.

MemberAll of these things are available to post in one’s profile…on an indivual basis people can give out as much or as little information on there as they wish.

I’ll take your credit card number tho, so I can buy stuff online. :-p
The question doesn’t bother me. Its more on public chatrooms (like yahoo chat) it becomes annoying because its a repeated question. Especially on dating and relating type rooms. 🙂
I’m looking for cyber on IM, thats why I asked the question. (joke)
I was just bored, so thought i’d pop the old age question of “age sex location”.
Remember to IM me your credit card number by the way. 😉

MemberI’m sure if some one WANTED to add that to their biography….they would. In fact I’ve browsed a few that do. Which they are…I do not even know…it was a while ago and did not really impact me one way or the other. Generally you can tell what gender a person is by reading their posts and PAYING attention to what they actually post.

Yeah. Heh. I might get a job as a snowboarding instructor when I’m 15 or 16 though…depends on when I pass all the levels. ^^. -
