I’m using the new AIM 5.5.3572 with SN linking. I actually like this feature, but I want to be away on one screen name while active on the 2nd screen name. Is there a way to do this without an ad-on program like DeadAIM? It seems as if you go away on one SN, it automatically goes away on the 2nd screen name. Maybe I’m doing something wrong?!?!
Could set the screename you want away where it is invisible you will look offline but not actually be.
go to MY AIM in the menu bar, then go to MANAGE LINKED SCREENNAMES and set which one you want away through there, if you wish.. I believe that would work.
Thanks DinoDocta, but that’s not the point. I want one screen name to be active and be able to talk, and the other to show as away, not invisible.
And digea, I see where you mean… I hadn’t checked there before, but the only options there are to choose which away message you want listed on the linked screen name when the main screen name is away. There is no option to not have any away message on the linked screen name, which is what I want.
