Since I (regretfully) downloaded 5.9, I’m completely unable to connect to AIM while Norton Internet Security is enabled. Once I disable it, I’m then allowed to sign on and bring up my buddy list.
I deleted 5.9 and download previous versions from oldversion.com and had the same problem; I’ve gotten all the current LiveUpdates available, and still nothing.
Any help?
Did you use any otehr version than 5.9x? How bout 5.5 and if that doesnt work, then its norton interfearign with your connection setting with AIM
Mhm, I tried 5.5 and still no connection.
I know it’s got to be an issue with Norton, but I have no idea how to configure it so that AIM is allowed to run. I checked the Norton site, and their help was … not helpful.
i would check your connection settings on AIM. downloading the new version might have caused them to change.
I had the exact same problem..What I did was log on the supervisor account an it worked perfectly..However I suggest Trillian…
I kept having problems until I tried a stastics check (???); then I connected just fine.

Hmm it works fine on my computer but I never set it up my dad did and well all when we log on are on the Supervisor account.
I have the same problem anybody else have any other way to do it?
