I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled AIM 6 several times now. And the gui is always the same. Grey and looking like it’s missing it’s skin. See the attached jpeg. Any ideas on how to fix this? Is there a dll someplace other than the aim directory that needs to be deleted and reinstalled? I didn’t see anything in the installation log file that shows files outside of the aim directory.
Thanks
Also, this is on a Windows 2000 system.
This is becoming more frequent and I haven’t gotten confirmation if the following works or not:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/8/a/28a5a346-1be1-4049-b554-3bc5f3174353/WindowsXP-Windows2000-Script56-KB917344-x86-enu.exe
That’s an installer from Microsoft that contains the latest scripting support, which might not be on the computer, might be corrupt, or not registered properly.
Download and install that, then reboot. Please post if this worked for you or not.
It didn’t work. AIM still has the skin-less interface.
This issue is still on my mind, so it hasn’t been forgotten. I’ll crosslink you to my response a little while ago.
