MemberI just upgraded AIM to the latest version, however when I did it automatically added my entire buddy list to my contacts in outlook express. I absolutely that :(, that’s why I quit using MSN. How can I keep my buddy list from showing up as contacts in Outlook? Please Help!

Typo. lol, but i think it could be that if your aim is set to check your mail in express that it is transfering your contacts. See if there is a option in outlook express.
Edit: i check outlook express and it seems to be very compatible with aim, a whole thing of features for it.

Please Help! You can turn that off by going to TOOLS >> OPTIONS and look somewhere in there that says AIM or AOL Instant Message and uncheck the mark and you won’t see AIM opening up when you are checking for new messages.
By the way, on the older Windows/MSN Messenger versions, you can do the same way above. I don’t think that MSN Messenger 6 does that now so you can go ahead and enjoy using MSN Messenger if you like to.

MemberYour having that problem because u set your AIM as your default Instant Messaging Program. The same thing happened to me to. I set it and it kept showing my buddies in my contact list. To disable it try this:
1. On the My AIM menu, point to Edit Options, and then click Edit Preferences.
2. Click Sign On/Off in the Category group.
3. Select the Make AIM my default instant messaging program option.
4. Click Apply.
5. Uncheck the Make AIM my default instant messaging program option.
6. Click OK to save your change and close the dialog box.
Hopefully that will work for you.
