I currently have two E-mail addresses linked to my screen name. One is @aim.com and the other is @netscape.net
Is there a way to get AIM to stop checking either of these E-mail addresses? I could turn off the mail checking option completely, but I may want to check one or the other still. I’ve tried deleting one of the addresses from the registry and restarting AIM, but the address is still there in the drop down menu from the mail icon (5.2.3292 – I don’t like how the “Mail” button was replaced with “Games”).
On a side note, I did read that @netscape.net addresses deactivate themselves after 30 days. I haven’t gone past that time yet since I’m always getting spam there and I’ll go and delete it just to stop the mail notification.
Any word on if AIM will deactivate an E-mail account after so many days?
I have a couple of SNs i rarely use and they all have @netscape.net accounts associated with them, so as far as I’ve experienced they do not deactivate. If you want AIM to stop checking your accounts, turn off that option and check them manually through a browser. That is how I check the one @netscape.net account I use.
nope they dont
