Here’s my problem:
I sign on to AIM 5.5.3591 under my main screen name, AmiNilion. It appears fine for up to 5 minutes at a time, but suddenly, I won’t be able to read the profiles of people on my Buddy List. An error message appears that states: “You cannot get member info of
due to rate limiting; try again in another minute.” This occurs, even though I have a 0% warning level, have not rapidly IMed anyone, and have not frequently looked at Buddy Profiles. Then, instantly, everyone on my Buddy List is offline, and then I am signed off. This happens time after time, starting this morning. I tried my secondary Screen Name, Jenoaquin, and it functions fine. I then tried my main Screen Name, AmiNilion, on my brother’s laptop, and it works fine there. It seems as if it is only on this computer that this problem occurs with that Screen Name. I tried signing on at intervals of every two hours, and the problem recurred, so I do not know what the problem may be. I was wondering if anyone had any idea on what this could be caused by, and how to fix it.
i had this problem with my one screen name. it would sign online on other computers but not my own. after about a week or so it fixed itself tho.
