I am doing a research on kids and AIM….now, is it possible for this to happen:
You IM somebody…randomly. You have never met them and you don’t know your name. Then they say “dont worry, I’m already looking at all the files on your computer”. Is something like possible with the other person only having your screen name?
Punting. They call it “crashing” “punting” and “lagging”
If you really don’t want to get lagged or punted, I suggest getting AIM 6.8 … although it is a big file of AIM, and I don’t download it.
I am on 5.9, and use an security thing.

those are cracker downloads. basically crackers are designed to scroll through a password list. simply make your password a unique password, adding a number in the mix is even of some help. just simply do that, and you’ll be uncrackable.
