Sorry for the late response–I went out of town on March 1.
After going through and responding to a bunch of threads, and then re-reading your response about it freezing when their auto-respond freezing you, I’m wondering if Expressions and/or buddy icons are part of the problem. Try disabling the buddy icons and expressions in AIM.
I need to get back into the groove of everything so I can help you find a solution…I was in the zone with this thread a couple of months ago, but I’ve lost that since I’ve been AFK for so long. I’ll try and find the packet sniffer I wanted to use if disabling expressions doesn’t cure it…or if you already found a cure, that’s awesome and I’d like to hear what you did!
I don’t have a lot of confidence in expressions/icons being the issue (except your mention of the auto-response have me curious), but before I start looking at packets I should get all of the easier things out the door.
