ok, heres the deal, i have my name on my buddy list and when i sign off and back on again, it says ive been on for like 1 hour instead of 1 min. i have retsarted my computer and it still says ive been on for a long time. what is goign on?
Is it that big of a deal really, but if it is have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?
yeah hes right, not that big of a deal, or someone maybe on your screen name somewhere elseand have it on.
instant message “AOL SYSTEM MSG” with “1”. this will disconnect your screenname from all other places except the one that msg’d with the “1”. then, obviously, change your password, just to be more “secure”. you can change your password at http://my.screenname.aol.com/
Is there a phone icon beside your name in your buddylist?
Sometimes the counter keeps going, but I can’t say what the exact circumstances are. This has happened to me only once, but it happens to my friends that share a T1 connection in Austin. They constantly get kicked off, but then sign back on a little bit later and their idle time keeps going.
Is it your online time or idle time? Do you have a program that controls idle time, such as middle_man? If so, you might need to turn off the idle control.
