i am trying to reset my password but i forgot what it is since it’s saved and i go to the page to have aim send it to me and havent received anything from them. it’s been 2 days, i haven’t changed my email or anything, does anyone know why they wouldnt send it?
Are you sure that you entered your real e-mail address into the AIM program? I had this problem, and since I’m paranoid and never like to put my real e-mail address, I could not get my password from AIM because they kept sending it to the wrong address. Or is this what you were clarifying when you said you haven’t changed your e-mail address? Or have you just not changed your active address?
I know this is a bit out of the way, but I just had a revelation. I requested my password for the account mentioned above because I was stupid, and thought the “you are trying to sign on too soon” error might have something to do with me using the wrong password. After a few weeks of this error, it changed to the “incorrect password” error during signon…I wonder if AIM sent an e-mail to the false address I had supplied which was really the address of someone else, and then they went on my screename and changed the password!! If this is what happened, boy do I feel like a dumbass!
So, I guess my point in mentioning this is, if you entered a false address don’t request your password!

missame if u wanna change ur password y do u want aim to send it to u? just log on with the saved password, and go to menu My AIM -> Edit Options -> Change Password…
Fimus, in order to change your password for AIM, you need to know your current password. They ask for it on the webpage where you change it.
i dont remember my current pw therefore i cannot do that option:(
