ParticipantHi Everyone,
I recently updated my AIM to AIM 7.2.5.5 (beta2) and I stopped getting my Twitter updates. It was working with AIM 7.1 so I thought that was the problem, I un-installed AIM 7.2 and reinstalled AIM 7.1 and my Twitter still can’t be seen on lifestream. Facebook works as does FlickR. Is anyone else having this problem? Any ideas what to look at or what to do would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

MemberHi,
Not sure what the problem could be, but here are some tips on troubleshooting Lifestream issues.
- Lifestream is a host-based feature. So version 7.1 and 7.2 are using the same hosts that are in production on any given day. The AIM client mostly just displays the information in your Lifestream. This means that the connection to Twitter or Facebook is done on the host side and the client is not involved.
- Make sure that your third-party service account authentication is current. Lifestream sometimes tells you when there is a problem in the me tab asking you to re-authorize your account. To check that your Lifestream is connected, go to the Lifestream tab in AIM and click on “Setup Your Lifestream” link at the top of the page. From there just check that the accounts are there and that none of them are indicating errors.
- TIP: You can press F5 in the Lifestream (and Me tabs) to force the page to get reloaded. In some cases, that may trigger a full refresh of your associated accounts. At the very least, it will put things in proper reverse-chronological order.
- Lastly, Lifestream is constantly being updated. As this is mostly a host-pushed feature, there have been many more updates to Lifestream than AIM client updates. It is possible that there could be temporary server outages from time to time.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Gus

ParticipantHi Gus,
Thank you for your very complete Lifestream tips. Since as you point out AIM is the client and AIM lifestream works fine for my facebook account I looked into twitter. It looks like everything is connected OK on the Twitter side Imageshack – 03102010171412.jpg – Uploaded by Imageshack user. I am able to enter something in my AIM What’s happening now and it’s seen on both twitter & facebook. I can enter something on twitter & it’s seen on AIM lifestream, I just can’t see anyone else’s tweets on my AIM lifestream, again I do see all facebooks but only my twitter noone else’s??
Any idea’s?
Thanks again,
