Hi guys! I just have a (hopefully) small question.
A friend of mine has an California area code cell phone. He just recently went on vacation to the Philipines however. My cell phone is a Florida area code.
I have my AIM screen named registered so it sends IMs to my phone. If he were to IM me with his cellphone, would I be charged with international texting? I know he does, but I just wanted to know if AIM Mobile bypasses that on my part.
He has cingular if it makes a difference. (So do I, but I dont think that matters.)
No, you should not get charged for international texting based on his location.
The text message to your phone will be the same receiving an AIM message from him as it would be if he were in the room next to you.
