Is there such a thing as an AIM moderator account? Basically, it’s a theoretical account used by AOL staff members, that can ban/unban users, etc.
I know that anyone claiming to be an AOL moderator is most likely a scammer, but I’m just wondering if there are really accounts with special abilities.
No, the source is ran from AOL members, Not AIM or AOL members, you either have to be working there, or somehow hack into it illegally, so no theres not
BUT… i dont think that there would be a need for moderators like you’re talking about, like moderators/advisors here on the forums. something like that would just be controlled at the server level, without a need for a team of moderators as such. just an administrator that has control over such things; besides, i imagine for as many aim users as there are, it would be virtually impossible for even a large team of people to police the whole thing. it must be somewhat automated.
