MemberNow that Heather and Ryan are back from their Beach Vacations, that makes it perfectly fine for me to go on a Beach Vacation now, right? :p
I’ll be gone from June 23rd-30th, at Long Beach Island, NJ. I will not have access to the internet during that whole time frame, but I’m sure Lucifina, Sami, and everyone else has got CC covered. πI’ll post some photos on Flickr when I get the film (yes, film, I still don’t have a digital camera…) developed, if anyone is interested.

ParticipantAndrew – have a wonderful time! And you must post pics! We used to dig with really big clamshells when we were in Wildwood . . . are they on the beach you go to as well or do you have to resort to the plastic shovels or scoopy things like we do in South Carolina?
I just love digging and sculpting at the beach!

The Shells on Long Beach, NJ are usually pretty small…
But its Plastic Shovels and Scoops (heck, even hands) that we usually use anyway. πJune 21, 2007 at 4:22 am #147350Lucifina
MemberHehehe, yea I actually missed my happy meal buckets that would have castle imprints when I went, but I still made a “castle” or a bump in the sand with a shell and stick sticking out of it :p . Have Fun and I can’t wait to see the pics!

KeymasterVery cool. Have a great vacation! Don’t let your oats get too toasty in the sun! π

ModeratorAndrew, you naughty boy…going on vacation without even asking if we’d like to tag along (hey, just kidding π ) Anyway, enjoy yourself…although I’d feel freaked out without any Internet for a week.
And yes, I still have a Canon SLR that uses 35mm film. Can’t bear to part with it yet!

ParticipantAndrew! Stop it! I can’t take it anymore! You know what that does to me!
*ouch*
But on a serious note . . . be careful of sand hole collapsing. This article in today’s paper. Scary!

MemberWell, I’m back everyone. π
I had a great time at the Jersey Shore, jumping and diving through waves, climbing a lighthouse, exploring a museum, and relaxing on the beach. Also had a great time at a snap-decision detour we took to Dorney Park, and after going there, I must say I got over my long time fear of roller coasters (I just ignored the “don’t do it” part of me…And “did it”!) by going on my first two steel coasters:
Talon: the Grip of Fear and Hyrda: the Revenge, complete with Zero Gravity loops, corkscrews, and rolls! Now I just love all roller coasters, and laugh at the time when I was limited to the Tilt o’ world and ferris wheel.
I went on these! (1st: Talon, 2nd: Hydra, Pictures from: bannister.org/coasters/parks/dorney_park.htm)

…Sorry for the rant, I’m just so glad I overcame something, I guess. πI will post back here when the vacation pictures are uploaded on Flickr, when I get around to getting the photos developed and on a CD…from two disposable Kodak cameras (don’t make fun of me, I swear I’ll be getting a digital camera…Sometime…;)),which will be in about a week or so.
Thank you all again for the happy vacation wishes. π

MemberLeft: Me enjoying some NJ ocean water. π
Right: My Mom (Lynn) and Niece (Alicia) enjoying the water. (I’m the shadow ;))

Some more pics from my vacation can be found here if anyone is interested. They’re mostly on the first page, a few are on the second. No pics are from Dorney Park as all the film was all used up by the time I got there…
Enjoy! :p

ParticipantAndrew – love your pictures! Your neice is adorable, and you’re not so bad yourself π Looks like lots of fun. The beach is a great place to vacation. And mini golf and little kid rides are a must!
Thanks for showing us your vacation!
